Charles Johnson Celebrates a December of Holiday Giving in North Carolina,

This December, Carolina Panther defensive end Charles Johnson embraced a season of giving with eight
different holiday events throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Minnesota. Johnson is known for
his big heart and gives back to those around him throughout the year through the Charles Johnson
Foundation.

Johnson’s holiday events this December included:

Village at River’s Edge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (Columbia, SC): Tuesday, December 6
Johnson is a lead partner in the Village at River’s Edge, which offers a smart and affordable housing
opportunity for families in need. The 124- unit affordable housing development held its official ribbon
cutting ceremony on December 6. The Charles Johnson Foundation worked with the local Food Lion to
provide each family that had already moved into the development with a reusable grocery bag filled with
perishable and nonperishable groceries. For families who moved in on a later date, Food Lion provided
gift cards so residents could purchase fresh items to celebrate their new home. Additionally, Target
provided each of the approximately 250 children who live in the development with a $10 gift card to use
at the store.

E.E. Taylor Elementary School (Columbia, SC): Friday, December 9
Through his foundation, Johnson donated t-shirts to each of the 260 students at E. E. Taylor Elementary
School. The elementary school is across the street from his Village at River’s Edge affordable housing
development in Columbia, SC. Johnson is a partner in the project, which had its official ribbon cutting
ceremony for 124 units earlier this month.

Ugly Sweater Holiday Charity Party (Aiken, SC): Thursday, December 15
In partnership with CHAMIRE Holdings, LLC, Right C.H.O.I.C.E.S. Foundation and Barclay’s Believers, the
Charles Johnson Foundation hosted an Ugly Sweater Holiday Charity Party. Guests had no admission cost
if they brought an unwrapped toy to donate and all proceeds from the party were donated to local
charities to purchase holiday toys. More than 150 toys were collected at the event

Charlotte Lab School (Charlotte, NC): Friday, December 16
Johnson made a surprise holiday visit to the Charlotte Lab School’s after school program for students in
grades K-5. The charter school in downtown Charlotte offers multiple sports extracurricular activities and
three foreign language programs. Johnson toured the campus and was introduced to the crowd of fans
by James Lee, a former NFL player and close friend. Johnson spoke with each child and asked their name,
and made sure they were all Carolina Panther fans. He distributed 95 jerseys to the After School Students.
He also autographed photos and jerseys and posed for photos.

Le’Creche Early Childhood Center (Minneapolis, MN): Monday, December 19
Johnson and his CGG, LLC business partners Kevin Garnett and Devean George donated 30 Samsung
Tablets, headphones, styluses, and Google Play gift cards to kids at the Le’Creche Early Childhood Center
in Minneapolis. Johnson could not attend this event in person due to his Panthers schedule, but Garnett
and George were able to deliver the gifts in person.

Salvation Army Center of Hope (Charlotte, NC): Tuesday, December 20
Johnson, Garnett and George all visited the Salvation Army homeless shelter to distribute 110 Samsung
Tablets, headphones, styluses and Google Play gift cards. Through his ownership of two Once Upon A
Child stores in the area, Johnson also donated several bins of clothing to the Salvation Army in addition to
foundation t-shirts for every kid at the shelter.

$500 Family Holiday Donation (Charlotte, NC): Tuesday, December 20
Johnson joined the Power 98 FM radio show to donate $500 to a local family for the holiday season.

Village at River’s Edge (Columbia, SC): Thursday, December 22
Four households in the Village at River’s Edge affordable housing development were chosen at random
and Charles donated various gifts to the families. The families were selected at the ribbon cutting
ceremony earlier in December, but gifts were delivered on Thursday, December 22. Each of the four
families received a one-year pass to the RiverBanks Zoo and each kid (10 total) received:
